Message from Dr Matthews:

Engleton House, as I was told the first time I came to look around, is a bit like a family. And indeed that has been one of the best things about working here. As I come to the end of my career in medicine, I am grateful that the last five years has been spent with you all, both staff and patients. As many of you will know, we look after patients both at the big Radford surgery on Villa Road and also at Coventry University in the Hub building. This has made for an interesting and varied mix. It has been a challenging time, as I joined shortly before the start of the first wave of Covid 19 and that has had an impact on us all. However, we are moving into more settled and normal times, when we can concentrate again, as Engleton has always done, on being outward looking and big believers in excellence in patient care. I hope that your experience as patients matches this and I am grateful to have met many of you. Now it is time to move on to new scopes of work in a different area, supporting GPs both locally and nationally, and with a particular focus on women doctors. I am sure that I will miss some of you, and think of you in the months and years to come. I wish you all to keep in the best health that you can, and where that is not possible, commit the team to support you where necessary.

Sarah Matthews.
